It fix in the hole that was previously cut into the hardwood. It was impossible to find the junction box from the instructions but I was able to cut metal brackets for a standard metal box to make it work. The color is lighter but it’s fine. We have a tool near by to open it because the pins are very tight. And I just realized, while taking photos for this review, that the head of one of the screws broke off. So that’s unfortunate. I’m going to stick with 4 stars because it was a good price and there’s nothing else that would have been as easily retrofitted and round. ### ⭐ Not dark brown like picture *by R***N on April 11, 2020* The color in picture is not accurate to the product. It appears to be dark brown, but ins not.
