Color is vibrant but I have not washed it yet. The only problem is I bought it for a cruise and it is much thicker and heavier than I wanted in my luggage. I bought a different microfiber towel the same dimensions and it is one third the size of this towel when folded up. Now the other towel is not nearly as soft but space matters when I am trying to do carry on only. A true swimmers towel dries you fast and does not absorb water and also folds a bit smaller.
