This seemed ideal, but I was concerned that it might stick to the table and damage the wooden surface (it is a new table). So I bought the patterned PVC rather than totally clear, as was suggested in a review. However, it does not stick, lifts off the table quite easily, without any damage. It is fairly heavy, so it stays put and does not move across the table at all. It's heavy so it stays in place.
