The fact that they are collapsible makes them easy to store and carry around, and fit neatly into the boot of a car. He finds them tremendously supportive when walking and strongly built, as he is not the lightest of characters. The handles are comfortable and do not dig into the hand like some walking poles, and the wrist strap gives that added safety element.
