The string could be better. *by P***P on Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2021* In my opinion, this pinch lens cap is a good value relative to the official Canon cap which is nearly double the price right now. I mean, all it is is a small piece of plastic that is inexpensive to manufacture.Some obviously received a product without the wording, but mine arrived as pictured (or I would've been upset)! I can't speak to the quality of the gray--and, yes, it's light gray, not white--printing on the cap, but even if it wears off, the cap will still say "Canon" (and the official cap is all-black anyway, including the logo). If there is one complaint that I have, it's the quality of the string. It's just a piece of string (probably nylon) with no loops on the end, so as you can see in the pic, I used my old one. Loops are more convenient because you do not have to knot anything to attach it to the camera or the cap. With the piece of string they send, you have to knot both ends (one to the cap, and the other the camera) so it's not really reusable unless you're very patient untying tiny nots. It's easier just cutting it off and buying another string.All in all, I'm pleased. I put a B+W 67mm UV Haze filter (also purchased from Amazon) on my camera, and I wanted a cap to protect it. This one fits the filter thread, and it fits securely.
