They look and feel like filter fabric you use around a drainage pipe. I know that sounds weird, but that's the only way I know how to describe it. **Q: What are these made from? They seem plastic. What type of plastic is used?** A: They are not plastic. They seem thicker than cheesecloth. Super convenient to use. **Q: Was the paper bleached?** A: It may have been since it was white and not brown but I think that pack was a synthetic something.
