Review: Better than 3M for smart locks - I recently bought a smart lock for our home (Aqara U200) and I planned to use the included 3M sticky mounting grips to attach it to our door lock. After a few days, I noticed it leaning away from our door, the included grip didn’t feel strong enough and pulled away from the door with a gentle pull. Enter the double sided strips from T-Rex. I took the lock off and removed the areas of 3M adhesive grip which made contact with the door and lock and replaced them with cut-to-size bits of the T-Rex strips. The results were immediately better, there is no give on pulling, prodding or pushing the lock on the side. It’s perfectly strong, feels like a durable hold and actually feels like the door may come off rather than the lock if I pulled it hard enough!

**Q: Suitable for roof felt ? Thanks**
A: As a roofing specialist ,no! It's at best good for a very short term patch if desperate.

**Q: I want to cut a tarpaulin to shape and form a fold over hem. Will this tape stick and hold the hem in place?**
A: As long as the Tarpaulin is clean dry and free from dust - cant see a reason why this would not work - a great idea

Also T-REX is great for all weathers and temperatures

A: Sorry ,I don't know what could be wrong with your tape .when I used mine it was so strong I had to get my grown up son to get a piece of the roll for me , and it is still holding a long time later .

A: For the right sort of material, i.e. low lint, I would think so. Seems to stick to pretty much anything.

Very coonvenient but haing used it to fix a solar powered light which was very light, after about two weeks approx it suddenly released the light with no warning. So a bit dissapointed. Perhaps the fact that the light, which was small and light was charged by the sun ment that the sunlight and obvious heat meant it weakened the hold of the tape, perhaps for most things it would be more than adequate.
