Yupik organic kamet flakes are steamed, rolled, and lightly roasted whole kamet grains. Nutty in flavor, hearty kamet flakes are firm in texture; ideal as an alternative to rolled oats, and can be used in hot cereals, granola, baked goods, and more. Kamet flakes use a 2: 1 ratio (2 cups water, 1 cup Kamet flakes), and cook in approximately 10-15 minutes.

Delicious as cooked cereal or added to baked goods (although, granola is still our favorite!) ♥ Find Yupik brand to be consistently fresh/ quality products at fairly reasonable prices. A: Hi, this item, as indicated on the product label, is not gluten-free. It may contain traces of wheat. Please, take a look at the pictures on the left side bar.

A: No, it's not gluten free.  Kamut is a type of wheat.

**Q: How much selenium does every serving contain on average?**
A: According to some sources, Kamut contains 55 micrograms of selenium per serving which is your entire daily selenium requirement. Thanks for your question.

**Q: Can I use this like oatmeal & make hot cereal?**
A: Yes, you can use it like oatmeal but it needs 5 or 10 minutes or more to cook depending on how soft you like it. I think the flavor is even better than oatmeal but the flaked version of kamut  isn’t really gooey which I prefer.

Great spelt flakes. Just note there is an error on the nutrition facts. The serving size should be listed as 1/4th cup, not 1/8th. 1/4 of a cup weighs 30 g not 1/8.
