Most popular 7″ field hoe will clear brush and roots up to 1″ diameter as well as move dirt for fire line maintenance and trail building. It is also popular with farmers to rogue weeds from their crops. Itâ€s 7″ wide by 5.5″ high steel head is glued and riveted to the handle to provide greater stability and longevity and is sharpened on three sides for more versatility. It is available on either our 1-3/8″ diameter, straight-grained shaped Ash or our heavy-duty 1-1/4″ fiberglass handle

Review: Excellent tool, makes work easier, Made in USA - This is not your box box home improvement store tool. This is a well crafted hoe that makes work easier. The downside is that if you are used to mediocre tools that require more brute strength to work, it takes a little while to figure out how to let this hoe do the work for you. But once you do, it is a pleasure to use. The tool requires very little force, just a steady, accurate swing, and it cuts in very well. The blade holds up well to abuse...In my case, using this is a sod/turf cutter in rocky soil. Very few dents or dings, and it maintains a good edge. If you are using it really heavily (i.e. hoeing hundreds of square feet, or a fireline), I would recommend a flat bastard or second cut file to dress it maybe once a day. Last: This is made from old disk harrow blades (think 22" diameter used for large-scale farming), so the metal is high quality, and recycled into this tool. It is also made in Kansas.

Always hated weeding the garden because of the inadequate tools Dad always handed me. This hoe is well made with a size, heft and sharpness that cuts weeds and dirt like butter. desertcart delivered the hoe quickly and without damage to the handle and cutting edges. I don’t expect that I will ever need to replace this hoe but do expect to buy another one in case I can find someone to help me with dads garden. **Q: Could I use this to dig a 24" deep trench?**
A: A trenching spade would be much more suited.

**Q: Does this tool work good for ground ivy?**
A: Not sure with ground ivy. I use it for everything. To clean the yard of weeds, making drainage ditches, clearing bushes...you name it...

**Q: is this the same as a grub hoe**
A: Yes, it's a grub hoe, but it's heftier than most and really cuts into tough soil with it's sharpened edges. I ripped up 200 sq.ft. of soil/construction debris in a day with it. Get the fiberglass handle one.

This thing is a monster making your work so easy...very sharp. I'm old fashion and wished I had ordered the wooden handle but this one seems incredibly strong..would purchase again and will buy more of their brand!!!
