It is not like the sweetener if that is what you are looking for. Not sweet at all. It does not taste great but I add it to other plant tinctures I am taking and it’s ok. I use their clear stevia drops where color and consistency are important like in teas. I've used this whole leaf in my protein shakes for years with no complaints. I think the whole leaf is nutritionally better than the clear in that it is less processed. On the other hand, I have since replaced using this product with Frontier's powdered stevia. The powder goes a long way when you buy it by the pound; you'll save money and it's even less processed. Overall, SweetLeaf whole leaf stevia is still a great product which I keep on hand when I need the convenience of drops over powder.***UPDATE*** Potassium sorbate? I don't believe that it was used in the original formulation.
