So there I sat, crying silent manly tears, proud at my bravery for putting this spicy taco in my gob, but also crying at my stupidity for underestimating how spicy and powerful this sauce really is. After about an eternity, the numbness kicked in and I was able to swallow down the bite I took. It burned all the way down my esophagus, like lava flowing down a rusty pipe. I swore at myself for being stupid and tasting something so powerfully spicy. Clearly I wasn't ready for this.
