The elastic in the waistband makes it incredibly comfortable with just enough give for the sort of day-to-day shift in waistline, and the fabric is light without feeling cheap. I will say that although it states that it's brown, it looks much more like a black; I did contact the seller about this and he confirmed that he did send the right one and that it was a "very dark brown" that looked lighter in direct light. Even in photos from the party standing right in the sunlight...it still looks more like black.
