Without this product I would drop signal ALL the time, it wasn't worth even trying to use the internet. I noticed people had different variations of this of USB wireless antenna. I was skeptical at best but after purchasing this and installing the drivers this thing ROCKS! I was mostly interested in "skypeing" with my family since I am deployed and seeing them via SKYPE would was not possible until after receiving this antenna. This works and works we'll. The bad, I didn't notice a difference with the 9dbi antenna. As a matter of fact I use the 5dbi antenna with magnetic base. I drilled through my "can" to run the antenna outside and I am happy to report I see my family without dropping signal, okay maybe twice within an hour of skypeing BUT that's okay!!
