It is plain, but still very nice. I did not have any issues with the build quality. I am happy with this purchase, and it is a good deal at around $15-20. I think you would be hard pressed to find this same style and quality for that price at a big retailer. Seems thick and well made.My original review was mistaken, this does not have the little metal tabs that you bend down to hold the back on. It has the round hook style that you spin around and latch under the edge of the frame.
