I put it on my desk instead of above my door and it looks great! My only complaint is that each letter is cut individually; I initially placed it crooked and could not peel it back off to re-apply it straighter. When I did, the letters peeled individually, one ripped, and I had to then try to put them back on one letter at a time. If you press down firmly and uniformly before removing the sticker, applying this successfully is most certainly doable. I didn't have to manually apply any of the letters to my wall, for they all stuck to the sticker. It looks lovely on my doorway just below the peering-hole, and like many others here I like having the helpful reminder before I venture out in the world and start my day. It's also good to know that I got it at such a low price, so I won't feel bad leaving it behind when I inevitably have to move. (Unless I can buy my apartment? One can dream.)
