I just tried this product after reading reviews. I have still to see if it lasts long, but from the start of it, it has covered my greys very well and my hair feels healthier afterward than w the garnier product (which I’ve been using for years). It was a little darker than I expected but I didn’t mind that. The best thing about this product is it didn’t irritate my scalp at all. I didn’t have major problems w garnier but it would leave my scalp feeling a little dry afterwards and itchy. I would describe my greys as at the roots and more “salt and pepper” type, so not sure if it matters for someone w a lot more, but again, I really felt this product did a good job on mine. Review: My camera would not catch the color! - The closest my camera came to catching the color right, was the one picture I uploaded. First thing that really stuck out to me was while I was rinsing the dye out my hair it felt so soft. In my experience that's when your hair feels stiff and damaged until you put the included conditioner in, but nope. My hair was silky while rinsing the dye out which makes me feel like my hair wasn't damaged at all during the process. Second was it only had a mild sting in the being but that faded quickly. I didn't like the smell at all but it wasn't powerful enough to make it out of my bathroom. I saw reviews that mentioned liking the smell but I didn't like it, it was not pleasant for me. Afterwards the amazing softness in my hair is great. Makes my hair feel like it did a long time ago so healthy and shiny. The color was dark almost black but i think if I'd stopped at about 25 min it wouldn't have been but I left it on about 35 min. I'm very pleased with it. In certain lights and when I'm outside you can see this bronze or almost reddish tint but just a tint this color is definitely dark chocolate. The time you leave the color in also varies, depending on how dark you want the color to be, the condition of your hair, original color, etc. Applying the color and rinsing will probably also take you longer if you have very thick hair. The instructions say the dye should be left on for a maximum of 45 minutes combined total. I do 35 minutes for the roots and then just 10 minutes more once I pull it through to the ends.
