You could lay it on the side and have the light on the side instead of the top **Q: How much for the kit** A: Under $20. **Q: Would it fit a size 10 woman’s shoe? I need it for photographing all types of shoes. All sizes 9-10.5.** A: Well it is fairly small. It states the Photo Light Box Size is 9.4 x 9.1 x8.7 inch, it’s good for small items but if I had to do it over I would have gone bigger it limits what I can use it for. Great for cds , small toys - yes shoes would fit but you would prob want to prop them up to use all avsilable space. **Q: Is this box big enough to photograph 13oz candle jars?** A: Yes. I put candle 22 oz inside. As you can see the logo shows in the back unless you use highest light. It’s flimsy but I think I might be able to secure the sides with cardboard. I’m using it for small objects so I think I’ll be ok. This is a temporary fix for me. If I was going to sell a lot of items I would probably invest more money in a more secure box. I knew that before I bought it from reading reviews. The logo on the back does shine through as well. But the lights are very bright. Every time I thought it was the brightest, it bumped up another level. That’s the reason why I bumped it up to 4 stars. The main reason I don’t like it is the colored backdrops. They are a terrible material. It is so cheap. It looks like I placed items on a paper towel. I could never use the black one (see photo attached) with all the holes in it. The white one is the only one you can kind of get away with, but you may have to blur the background a bit in the photo. (Still looks like a paper towel)So I have been debating returning this one for a different kind, but I really am impressed with the ring light’s capabilities. Just too big. So I got this one. It works great. It is a perfect size for jewelry. I will say that the lights on the top are kind of useless. They do not make enough light to use. Do not depend on them to light what you are photographing satisfactorily. But I have other lights and with them it works fine. And because it is small it is easy to store. I store it put together and do not take it apart. I am afraid that taking it apart a lot could cause a problem. I think it is well worth what I paid for it.
