B'laster Parts Washer Solvent has been developed to outperform the usual mineral spirit based solvents most often found in re-circulating parts washers. It safely and quickly removes oil, grease and grime from metals, most plastics and painted surfaces. It leaves no residue making it perfect for parts that will be painted.

No this is not rated "safe for skin" but some other chemicals are worse.I get in the moment sometimes and forget and this way, things get cleaned and I don't burn my hands.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is it all right to use this product in a parts washer that is designed for water based solvent**
A: No. In my experience if you use a petroleum based solvent (Var-sol, kerosene, etc) with a pump designed for water based solvent the pump housing will distort rendering the pump useless. And create a fire hazard.  The pumps for petroleum based solvents usually have "For use with Stoddard solvent or deodorized kerosene" in the description. Both still have a fairly strong smell, BTW.

**Q: I only use the parts washer occasionally.. will this solvent evaporate even with the lid on the washer closed?**
A: Yes, any solvent based product will evaporate over any length of time. It does not have a rapid evaporation though.

**Q: can it be used with other washer solvants?**
A: We have used it in a washer that had Agitene in it with good results.

**Q: How does it smell? PB Blaster is kind of strong.**
A: It's fine, not too strong of a smell

This stuff is basically just de-odorized mineral spirits. It works well as a parts solvent in washers and ultrasonic cleaners--just note that it is flammable. So, be careful. In an sonic cleaner, it is very effective at removing crud from gun parts, plus it leaves virtually no residue on the metal parts. Adding some Hoppes No.9 to it further increases it's cleaning power.
