Aside from Meier's books I have absolutely zero training or background in etiquette, and I am guessing most reading this book won't either. Thankfully, as you will quickly realize while reading, etiquette can be learned by anyone willing to practice. This book provides a wealth of etiquette tips and tricks for common situations such as interviews, networking, attire, business dining, posture, meetings, and technology (emailing, social media use, and phone etiquette are all big ones). However, what makes this book a must-read, in my opinion, is that Meier also focuses on small things that give you that extra polish: how to sit, making an impromptu speech or toast, handshakes, walking through a revolving door, where to place your utensils on your plate when you're done eating, and lots more.
