If you google "ATS Acoustics Room Analysis" you can find a free online tool to help you decide number of panels for your room. **Q: We live in an apartment with a baby; will this work to reduce the sound my neighbors hear if she's crying?** A: We bought this item for the same reason - to keep our older children from hearing the baby's crying. I think it helped a bit but I can't say it made a huge difference. However, we only bought one panel and our house is very old and the walls are not well insulated. **Q: Is this product finished on both sides so it could be hung from the ceiling?** A: No it's not. The fabric is wrapped around the edges and stapled to the back. You wouldn't want to display the back side. After installing these on the walls, it was like the vanta black in the world of sound. I felt like it was robbing the words from my mouth. We also installed two drum sets, some artwork, and four bass traps. My cousin is a very large drummer, wielding sticks that he calls trees.
