Is this normal** A: The base plate is supposed to heat up to evaporate the water, but I’ve found that by standing it on a flat hard surface (like a plastic tray) it allows the heat to escape as air can circulate beneath the unit. If it’s put on a carpet it will get hot. **Q: Does it have an internal light that stays always on when the machine is on, or the light can be switched off so it's dark at night?** A: There is a little green light that stays on while the machine is on. As far as I know, you can't switch that light off, but it is a very small light. Highly recommend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ works as expected *by L***L on 21 April 2026* I have been running it for a few days, and I am overall happy with it. The water capacity is fine. At the beginning, there is a bit of a plastic-like smell, so I recommend running it once or twice before you install it in the bedroom. The noise on the upper level is tolerable, but present. When you switch to a lower level, I have no trouble sleeping with that. Also, the more intensive setting uses the water quickly, and in my opinion, it would not be running around 8 hours.
