I then want to use my special grinder and different grits to further polish it.** A: Definitely not for concrete countertop as they will leave too deep of cuts for you to polish back. You can use 30 grit diamond pads to expose aggregate. If you need to remove more, you can use metal bond or vacuum brazed diamond discs. **Q: How quick can this wheel remove some hard wood?** A: I am not sure I would use this on wood. However, this will grind medium and hard concrete extremely fast. Can not really compare a concrete hardness ( Mohs Scale) to wood hardness ( (Janka scale) because they are measured differently . If you try them, be very careful. These disk are extremely aggressive at 10,000 rpm.
