However, I may have done something wrong with it, did not affect part in any way. This is a replacement for Robinair pumps but can be adapted to many others. This fitting has an internal check valve that prevents a system under vacuum from pulling oil out of a vacuum pump that has been turned off or lost power. This is a great feature, but this ultimately reduces the ultimate vacuum an otherwise strong pump can achieve. The Schrader/Acme ports do not have valves installed, so a cap on the unused port is necessary.
