It took me about 20-30 minutes to apply the main branch as it's all one piece and then abouty another 30 minutes to an hour applying all the birds. It only took longer to apply the birds as I was concerned with placement and how everything should look. Applying the birds individually takes less than a minute. Before you start you need to firmly press the top layer of paper onto the sticker so it doesn't stick to the backing when trying to peeling it away. I also watched a youtube video on how to do this which saved me a ton of time. You have to tape the entire thing to the wall first to get your placement and then adhere one side at a time by flipping each side over on itself and peeling back the tape. Once adhered to the paint I then firmly went over each area of the decal with my finger and firmly pressed to make sure it was adhering. Bubbles are very easy to smooth out if you happen to get one. Overall i'm very pleased and it actually looks better than I was expecting. I love how it's a matte finish as glossy would look off. It looks like it was hand painted to the wall, it doesn't look like a sticker at all. Before peeling anything, start by holding the decal on the wall exactly where you want to position it. (If you don't have a partner, tape the corners up and stand back to appreciate your positioning. 3. While your partner holds the left part of the sheet up in position, start on the right side and peel the backing paper away a few inches, folding the backing paper underneath towards your partner while you press the decal on the right, onto the wall. 4. Use your left hand to continue peeling the backing to the left, while using your right hand to press the decal onto the wall, sweeping left to smooth out any bubbles or wrinkling. 5. Take your time as the smaller branches can wrinkle if you pull too hard or peel too much backing off without immediately smoothing the various decal branches onto the wall. 6. Add the birds, then successively smaller items. I installed it in a medical office for a home like vibe and patients and staff alike loved it. I especially appreciated the realistic look of the branches. The birds and hearts I didn't care for, but staff liked the birds, so up they went. I got to veto the hearts. I bought the left to right, the branch at the edge with the top toward the ceiling cause I want to put a wild flower garden under the branch. I would reccomend having someone help you put this up, I watched a video on youtube, how to, this was very helpful. I had no issues with it coming off the transfer paper and only had to smooth it down in a few places, it really stuck well. Overall, it looks great, much better than I originally thought it would.
