I put the two just under the lip of the hole at 90 degrees from each other and focused a laser on each one. If a bean bag drops and blocks both photocells the game beeps and lights an LED for about 2 seconds. If a bag drops over the edge and only blocks one photocell it does not beep. These worked much better that some that I bough elsewhere. These are much more sensitive and the range when blocked is much more consistent than the others. The neighborhood kids have been playing the game for about two months now and everything works great.
