Its actually more air than I expected something like this to produce. There is a slider switch on the side to turn it on and off. To me, the lanyard is the only place where the price really shows. Its a thin string that is slightly uncomfortable against my neck. It has no provision for adjusting it to get the fan closer to your neck, but you can accomplish this by tying the string at the top and letting the extra hang down the back of your neck. If the fan outlives the lanyard I will replace it with something more comfortable and adjustable. I think it might be possible for girls with long hair to get some caught in the fan if it hangs down over their chest.
