By the time the third one rolls around I stop using them. The stones feel solid, the tongs are pretty sturdy, the bag is the typical cloth drawstring bag you'd expect (kind of like a D&D dice bag), everything's presented very nicely in the tasteful gift box. This would make a nice little gift or stocking stuffer for a whiskey lover.However, I did not order them for their functionality in whiskey. I ordered them because, as they are made of soapstone, they can withstand high temperatures. It came in a nice presentation package, boxed, a little bag and high-quality stainless steel tongs. Rinse the stones after use (never soap!), let them dry thoroughly and return them to the freezer.
