Very sturdy construction and was easy to put together. Very smooth seat rollers and water resistant. The resistance can be adjusted by dial (4 levels) and by the amount of water in the tank. Very happy with the machine. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Trident Rower Review *by D***S on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on December 26, 2012* I've had the Trident for a few weeks now.I'm not sure what is all different then the Pacific, and neither did First Degree. Their website has very little technical content. There is no spreadsheet showing the difference from one model to another. From what I can tell, the Trident has a longer track and different seat with a different roller system. It also has a longer warranty. I'm 6'4" so I got the Trident. I think it could hold a person up to 7'0" tall.Assembly took less than 1/2 an hour. Assembling a second unit might take 10 minutes. I put distilled water in it (less than 5 gallons).There are 4 difficulty settings. There is not a drastic difference between the settings. I am currently rowing at level 2, with level 1 being the easiest. The water tank is full. The only reason I could see for not having a full tank would be rehab or if a person is in terrible physical condition. I started in better than couch potato shape (I play soccer once a week, and can run a 5K in 30 minutes). I am also 50 pounds overweight. Level 4 might pull twice as hard as Level 1. Different people can use different settings.I find rowing with water more aesthetically pleasing than hydraulics or air. The water is audible, but not loud. The momentum of the water keep going in the tank, so the faster you row, the more momentum that stays with you. I think the rowers with the non horizontal tanks such as the Atlantic would give a more difficult high speed workout, because the water would slow down much faster, essentially starting from a stop on every stroke.The seat is very comfortable, even when mounted backwards :). Its glides very smoothly on the track. I don't notice the noise of the belt or the sliding seat.The computer appears accurate and basic. The level setting is manually set to match the 4 positions of the dial on the water tank. Everything resets with a new session. The 500m time is basically current speed. There seem to be different computers out there. The blue one doesn't have a level setting on it.The machine is made in Taiwan.Edit : Maximizing the length of the pull makes it a much more strenuous workout (lean all the way forward when in crunch position, and lean back at about 45 degrees when fully extended). ### ⭐ Never could get it *by A***T on Reviewed in Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ on April 1, 2013* The following isn't a review a the actual product because it never made it here; but I wanted to share my experience for future buyers. This rower comes in two boxes. Amazon sent with UPS the rower after a 4 week period. I received only box 1 of 2 in pretty bad condition. So as usual, Amazon excellent customer service replaced the rower. This time, it was sent with Canada Post after one week. Again, I only got box 1 of 2. But the box was not damaged during shipping.I suspect the random storage system Amazon uses to be responsible for splitting the two boxes necessary to put together the rower. And now the company that imports the rower is a on a national back order with no ETA for a replacement. Fed up, I asked for a refund and as usual Amazon reimbursed me quickly.Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with Amazon with this transaction.
