Kojie San has all-natural kojic acid formula that helps lightens dark spots due to acne, age spots, freckles, sun-damaged skin, and other skin pigmentations. Kojic Acid was discovered in Japan. It is a by-product in the production of Koji, or Malted Rice, for use in the manufacture of Japanese rice wine. In cosmetics, Kojic Acid is popularly known for its excellent whitening effects and antioxidant properties.HOW TO USE: Lather soap and apply to treatment areas. Leave the soap on for up to 30 seconds. Apply once per day and increase to twice a day if well tolerated. If dryness occurs follow with a moisturizing cream. SAFETY: Before use, perform a SPOT TEST to test for sensitivity as follows: Lather the soap up and apply to the intended area of use for up to one 30 seconds. Review: great soap! highly recommended - when i read the reviews the negative reviews bothered me, the dry skin, staining the bathroom, melting fast , pigmentation getting worse. my skin color is a golden tan ...my nature skin at birth was much much lighter , more whitish yellow ...due to my ethnicity i tan easily, and high levels of pigmentation so i have turned a golden tan over the years due to sun exposure. when i get woulnded it leaves a black mark that takes long time to disappear. I had a bad ace attack from a bout 2 years and was left with lots of black marks , i tried a laser therapy that left me with massive patch burns. i wouldn't be more depressed it was much worse than my acne marks. i had nothing to loose i tried this. Drying - yes it is drying , it dried my body a lot but not my face perhaps because i have oily skin. also though some comments say it is drying due to the acid which for some part could be true , this is actually a purely coconut oil based soap. If you know anything about soap making you will know a pure coconut oil soap is the most drying soap , its ability to attach to dirt and really strip the skin is well known in soap making, thats why beauty soaps are made with olive, shea, cocoa butter, almond , oils as such. considering the purpose of this soap , to lighten, ill accept the drying and moisturize more during the period of use , and not have high expectations of a beautiful beauty soap. Staining the bathroom- i didn't experience this , again i'm not doubting at all the other's experience, I'm sure it would have, but i can not say that this is a common issue with this soap. it did not even wash off orange in color , it washed off as any other soap suds, transparent. I'm thinking perhaps its a mater of hard water in the area you live ? I live in hong kong. Dissolving fast - didn't experience this but i have no doubt it would have happened if you leave the soap in moist surfaces or exposed to water splashes. i removed the soap out of the shower soon after use. pigmentation getting worse- didn't happen but again i can see why it could happen .. as some say sun block is paramount ! even indoors,your skin IS exposed to the UV rays even indoors,through windows. although you have direct shield from sun over your head. it is annoying to apply sun block at home during the day but , desperate times folks ! also when your normal skin lightens even more than your pigmented areas that can give the elution of marks getting worse. So the big question , does this soap work ? Absolutely it does. My natural skin color has appeared and during the transition yes the marks and burned areas looked like it was darker because the normal skin lightens much faster , highlighting the dark marks, but soon after they are lighting too....after only 2 weeks of use my scares have not disappeared completely obviously , i even doubt if the burs will ever complete go but i can assure you the acne marks are almost invisible , the burs are so much lighter and blending in to my skin, there is still a dark outline of the original burn but I'm so happy for these results, i use much much less foundation and the unharmed skin is so clear. My objective is not to reach my birth color I'm not concerned about my tanned skin but naturally i have to accept the lightning of the skin to fade the dark marks. few advice i can give - if you have never used any kind of acid in any form before, such as creams , toners , go easy and maybe start the 1st week with every other day usage , it will tingle the skin , it did for me even after using acid creams and toners long before. the tingling is not a bad thing but at the end if it is a 1st time for acid , start slow to be gentle on your skin.do not manually exfoliate during the use of this soap u might really harm your skin as Kocic Acid already exfoliates your skin. moisturize well! dont be afraid of this soap its not a scary application of "acid" on your face ..but it IS an acid so do take is step by step until you get used to it. If you have extremely dry skin then i will suggest to start this in summer because I guess winter already drys so much , but again in summer the sun in stronger ..so please do choose to best suit your comfort your country , and practicality for your daily life like reapplying sun block every 2 hours !!! the most frustrating of all.Good luck all ! **Q: I'm looking for a soap that will make me two shades lighter. will this soap do the job?**
A: This soap will remove the outer layer of dead skin to reveal the fresh skin underneath. This soap is my regular bath soap for everyday and I’ve been using it for 3 years. My skin is smoother and fresher toned with actually lightening only to your true color. Remember to stay out of the sun or use sun screen or else it will not lighten.

**Q: How many ounces or grams per bar?**
A: Each bar is 135g.

**Q: is it ok to use make up ,foundation & powder daily after using  this soap????**
A: My skin breaks out really easily, so I only used light foundation after using it. But, if it's your first time trying it, I recommend waiting to see how your skin reacts because when I first used it, it stung my skin and I avoided putting makeup on it until I got used to the soap just to avoid getting a rash or something. when i read the reviews the negative reviews bothered me, the dry skin, staining the bathroom, melting fast , pigmentation getting worse. my skin color is a golden tan ...my nature skin at birth was much much lighter , more whitish yellow ...due to my ethnicity i tan easily, and high levels of pigmentation so i have turned a golden tan over the years due to sun exposure. when i get woulnded it leaves a black mark that takes long time to disappear. This soap is FANTASTIC! I am a 39 year old mixed race Black female. I bought this soap to lighten old facial acne scars, dark knees and elbows, and armpits. I did like some others suggested and melted each bar down in a 48 oz jug of water, then poured it into two 24-oz empty Suave body wash bottles for convenience. One bar of soap can yield 48 oz of liquid Kojic Soap. If you wash with it using the bar, it will melt very fast. The entire bar was melted by the next morning after I placed it in the water. I've been using this soap for almost 2 weeks now. My skin looks radiant! The old acne scars on my face are already lightened by 50% after using this soap daily morning and evening every day. I've also used it everywhere else on my body. My armpits had darkened due to years of using aluminum based deodorants. No more! After using this, in conjunction with an exfoliating skin pad and hydroquinone in my armpits, the dark brownish black color is finally completely gone. I had tried hydroquinone alone and it didn't work even after several weeks. My caramel complexion doesn't look much lighter, but the tiny marks that were sprinkled all over my body do look amazingly lighter and less defined. I guess I can finally look forward to beautiful even toned skin after all these years. I'm so excited! Even better: My daughter, who has very bad acne vulgaris began using this on her face. Her skin literally looked like it had a mountain range growing on it. After 6 days, I almost burst into tears. Her face, which even dermatologist prescribed products couldn't seem to clear up, looked 100% better. She still had quite a few white heads and black heads left over after 6 days, but nowhere near what it had been a week before. It's almost 2 weeks now. All major bumps on her skin have almost completely smoothed over. Her cheeks and forehead look completely smooth now and her freckles are showing through on her skin. She still has a few bumps on her chin, but I'm sure that in another week or so, those will be gone also. Her chin has always been her major breakout region. Her skin finally looks amazing. I'm so happy that I ordered this product. I'm about to order more. I highly recommend this product
