The only annoying part is it takes a while for the line to open up enough to hold enough ink to make a good line. Takes about three weeks of daily use for them to get where I like them. Not a big deal though, they last me an average of 4 years before I replace them. I didn't try to force it any farther even though it says there is 25 feet of line in it. I rewinds well at 22 feet. It snaps a real sharp thin line. I assumed it was for in shop use due to the crisp line. If you used it for snapping a floor layout in construction, I don't think it would work well. It would be too thin, too short and hard to see.
