Though you will want to make sure you run a ground wire from the base of the antenna to a suitable place (water faucet, grounding rod, etc). **Q: I live in on the first floor of in a small apartment. I noticed that the description said it antenna could be put on balcony railings. How!** A: You will need to head to the hardware store and jury rig up some sort of pipe clamp and possibly a short pipe that can clamp to the balcony railing, and also to the stub end of antenna. Unless your balcony trailing includes a piece of vertical pipe, the supplied hardware will not be sufficient. When they say "it can be attached", I think they mean that it's compact enough to fit on most balcony railings, with a little work. **Q: What exactly is the difference between the more expensive Diamond D3000N & the more affordable Diamond D130NJ?** A: The D3000N has a wider Receive range, 25-3000 MHz vs 25-1300 MHz.
