For Dacor MW Owners: Dacor is not listed in the list of MWs this part can fix but it will work. Hope the details below are helpful to a Dacor owner in a predicament such as confronting us. When we bought our current house, it had all Dacor appliances but the builtin MW needed replacing. We had to buy something that fit and matched the trim. The surrounding trim is ~$450 and most other countertop MW don't fit and/or not an esthetic match. So installing a similar Dacor was a forced choice. The main challenge was the very flimsy plastic molded part on which these switches are mounted. The plastic is very flimsy and it broke at multiple points trying to remove the defective switch and reinstalling the new one. I had to preform plastic welding (with a soldering iron) to stick the pieces on (and I had to get a soldering iron just for that (~$15 from Harbor or Box stores and Youtube as a how to guide). If you are able to get the switch off and put this one in its place without any damage, this repair is a breeze that require only a moderate handyman skill. Next additional plastic that door screws go into reveled themselves with cracks and won't hold the steel threaded screw (more soldering iron to melt and plastic and glue the pieces). Reassembly was rather easy (followed colored wires using the pictures I had taken).
