It's what I wanted - it doesn't go around my stomach, but closer to my sternum (I'm 5 11 with 42 inch chest and ordered a medium). The velcro on the vest appears to be good enough. I've had 30 dollar vests that were better, but that's over-priced. I haven't been hit yet.The bands are a joke, but I didn't order it for the bands. If I had I would've sent this back. The velcro on the bands isn't strong enough to hold the bands together tightly (compared to the asics bands I lost).The smiley face stickers have good adhesion.
