Review: Great for Dysautonomia - If you have orthostatic hypotension, POTS, EDS, or some other form of dysautonomia, you may have read or been told that salt supplementation is an important part of treating your condition. I’ve read that as much as 4 grams of extra salt may be helpful. You should do your own research and ask your doctor if you can supplement with salt (especially if you have high blood pressure!). I have orthostatic hypotension and my doctor wants me to supplement with 2 grams a day. Each one of these is 1 gram. I generally take a big swig of water and pop one of these in my mouth before swallowing, to minimize the overwhelming saltiness of a fairly large pill made of pure salt. I find they’re easy to take and swallow this way. I take one morning and night. I’ve been taking this brand for years and have no complaints. I notice less energy when I miss taking it. I also crave less salty foods and fewer electrolyte drinks when I take these, but I still use both of these things to keep my salt up, even taking these, so I’m going to ask if I can up my dose next time I see my dysautonomia specialist. PS if you don’t have a dysautonomia specialist, I highly recommend getting on a waitlist for one as soon as you finish shopping!

**Q: Are these sodium tablets gluten free?**
A: Yes, they are 100% packed salt in tablet form

**Q: What is the size of the tablets? My daughter can't swallow larger tablets.**
A: They are 1/2inch.  I cut my wife pills in half with a splitter.  These are 1 gram. 394 mg of sodium.  I have found smaller salt tabs , but they do not contain the amount she needs.  Thermotabs are only 180 mg sodium and are the same size as Graxcell.  Hope this helps you.

**Q: Sodium Chloride is only 40% sodium so does this mean 1 capsule has 600mg sodium**
A: Each capsule contains 390 mg of sodium.  The manufacturer is being deceitful by not listing the actual amount of sodium.

One gram of salt or sodium chloride (1000mg) contains about 400 mg of sodium (similar brands list it as 390 mg) and 600 mg of chloride.  (You had the percentage right but applied it to the wrong element!)

**Q: what is expiration date?**
A: The bottle I currently have has an expiration date on the back label of 09/2023.
