I have used amazing clear cast and liquid diamonds. how does this compare in viscosity?** A: The thickness can often be attributed to the temperature of the resin. This resin does best when it is kept at 70°. I've been consistently using this brand now for three years. In the summer when it is warm, the resin will appear "thinner". In the winter, if it gets below 70° it will be "thick and viscous" I recommend putting the bottles in a warm water bath during in the colder months before you mix the resin. It will help "thin" the resin and also helps with air bubbles. **Q: 1) Is this product consider food safe? and 2) what is the maximum temperature it can be exposed to?** A: Food use in cold foods only - i.e glass edges. Not recommended for hot foods. It yellows in sunlight, so it's probably heat sensitive. I would not use it for food items. **Q: After curing, the surface is blotchy. Part of it is glossy and part of it is Matte. What would cause this?** A: Your solution wasn’t mixed long enough.
