I think it was called sterlingtek or something like that. IT was always buggy from day 1, but worked well enough to eventually charge my GRIII batteries. Long story short that other charger finally totally died so I went in search of another charger. So far this charger has been working in an awesome way. When I FIRST got it, it took me maybe 2 minutes to first realize haha, I had to press down the Ricoh battery a bit more to make contact, and also I thought the many lights were a tad confusing when I put two batteries in at the same time.. Anyway the lights actually make a lot of sense and I'm loving this charger. You do need a low powered usb brick of some sort...but if you have one from an old phone or device it's the only thing MAYBE they should have INCLUDED. All in all this charger seems GREAT and well made and WORKS!. Review: does what it is supposed to do - Works perfectly.
