Mainly my linen closet as it is small traps most of the odors in there. I had to take all my linens out and repurpose it as a pantry. I have used baking soda, white vinegar, coffee beans, febreze, Lysol spray, you name it I've used it. I even put a cup of fabric softener and dryer sheets inside and the smell still lingered. I found these by chance while browsing the site and figure I give it a try. I put one in for one night and the smell was gone. I thought I would have to wait a few days at least to notice a difference but I was pleasantly surprised.These are amazing. I also used one in a spare room where I have boxes of stuff and other things which were starting to smell musty. I hung one of these in the middle of the room from the vent and the next day the smell was gone. I'm ordering my second set now. No fire but a TON of smoke that filled the entire house and left an acrid, burnt smell. (I'd left chickpeas on the stove and forgot to turn it off when I left the house for a few HOURS of errands.) We had tried everything we could think of. Washing cabinets with vinegar soda. Leaving cabinets open for days and all the windows in the house open. Putting baking soda in the cabinets...I was dubious that these would help but I thought I had little to lose. I bought one packet for each cabinet. Put them in the sun and the put them into the cabinets. The smell truly did go away.
