Can I mix a batch with one dunk and store it to spray onto the surface of my garden as needed?** A: Hi I just saw your question, and i have a way these work for my plants. I use gallon milk jugs and put 1/4 of a mosquito dunk in each. For a small sprayer you'd only needed a small piece, but just spraying your plants or the top of the soil won't kill the larvae. You'll need to water each plant with the treated water to effectively eradicate the gnats. I've found that the small piece that I use lasts for a month, and i just write the date on a piece of masking tape attached it to the jug. I'm not 100% sure, but with these being made up of live bacteria, I don't cap the jugs. Idk if they require air, but I don't want to mistakenly kill those.
