Did a bunch of research about all the different materials involved in cutting boards, and this is what I decided: Glass is too rough on the knife blade, dulled it quickly. Wood, especially the great looking boards, scars quickly and gets ugly fast, and you have to keep it treated. Stainless steel has the same problems as glass.
