I tried several rim strips off the counter at local big box stores and bike stores. This one is nice and thick and fits snuggly in the rim. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Time Will Tell *by R***A on Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2018* I ordered two packages of this product to put on the rims our bikes (2). I just installed a set of these on one bike. I installed them over the existing rubber ones. One thing I noticed on one of the rims, is, that the heads of the spoke ends, had burrs on them. Apparently some worker in China on tightening them, left burrs from a flat screwdriver. I tool a smooth file and deburred them. I actually got a puncture from one of them, right through the rubber liner. As far as these being thicker, I don't see that.
