The static doesn't occur when we use this, but we also have a pair of wool balls permanently in the dryer, which has to help on some level... maybe. The price was fair for the amount you get and I like the snuggle bear. I wish there were a snuggle bear that we could throw into dryer that would permanently live inside the machine. Maybe it wouldn't work, he'd be beemed off the noggin by the wool balls and have to bounce around in peoples underwear. Anyway, I have too much free time on my hands.
