They don't say butter on the front, but they absolutely are BUTTER cookies. Butter is the second ingredient after flour. The packing was four packages lined up on a oversized heavy piece of cardboard, and then the whole thing wrapped in heavy plastic. This was in a box with other items all cushioned with air pillows. Our four pack arrived in perfect shape, no broken cookies with a good expiration date (3 months away). Only downside is the cornstarch they use in the recipe which gives them a slight powdery after mouth feel. Review: Love these simple cookies ... - I first tried these over the holidays, and fell in love with their buttery flavor. They're reminiscent of shortbread, but not as heavy. I've found these locally, but they're not stocked that often, and are priced higher. I was able to get 12 packages here on desertcart for less than my supermarket, and I haven't had any issues with broken or crushed cookies. I've gone through about 5 packages so far, and I think I found 3 broken cookies in the whole lot. They work well with tea, coffee, even spread with Nutella. Just a couple in the afternoon can satisfy my sweet cravings -- just about perfect!
