Will appreciate any feedback. Thanx!** A: I believe (and I am by no means an electrician)...that the 9v applies to your pump...not your car. Under the knob that turns on your pump...it will say how many volts. You are not to exceed that when it comes to the plug. The larger end of the lighter adapter is usually a device that converts the current so that your 12v car will not fry your 9v pump. Or something to that extent. Either way....this is what I use...and I have had no problems. A little "google" research might help. I do believe that I read this somewhere back in the day when I first purchased mine because I remember reading that it does increase the speed and suction a bit, but that it is ok to use. **Q: Does this work with the medela Symphony ?** A: No, this is intended for use only with our 9V breast pumps like our Pump in Style Advanced.
