Review: Perfect Sized Grit for Growing Chicks! - I needed a small-sized grit that didn't contain any extra ingredients like crushed oyster shells for my 8 week old chicks since they are not laying eggs yet and don't need the extra calcium for egg production. This fit the bill perfectly. It is small enough for them to peck at, but not too fine that it is powder, and not too large that it does no good for their digestion. Speaking of which, if your chicks have runny poops, then you need to put them on this grit. Guarantee to firm up their poop in no time. My local feed stores have been out of stock (back ordered) of this type poultry grit for almost 2 months now. I shopped around online for poultry grit from other manufacturers, and this was by far, the best deal around here on desertcart. I also highly recommend their brand of Scratch and Peck feed selections. I purchase 40lb sacks of them from Azure Standard which is much cheaper than the prices here on desertcart. I just wish Azure Standard would carry this brand of Grower Grit.
