Review: This stuff works for long term pedicure damaged nails. - I think my toenails had damage from persistent pedicures over years, as they were starting to be super thick, couldn’t hold the polish anymore because of it, and would even peel. So I started using this as directed 11/1/25 (twice daily for a week and once daily after that), and also changed my diet a little based on some internet research in case that might’ve helped. It’s been 6 months now and my nails are finally showing new growth that is very clearly healthier than that before it. I read it can take a year for a full new toenail to grow, so the progress seems on track, but I’m just pleased that the new nail growth is now coming in normal again, no discoloration or funny thickness. It takes time, but this stuff def works for long-term pedicure damage.

I noticed a while back that taking a AREDS2 improved my nails also. The only problem was I was taking a lot of the vitamin and it’s costly. By taking AREDS, daily nail care and using Kersal, my nails improved. However, if you have brittle, easily damaged nails, you will always have a challenge. The picture of my nails is over a one month period.

**Q: What are the ingredients?**
A: I bought Kerassentials because it said it was made out of natural oils. As of today, nails are worse and the liquid doesn’t even smell at all - not natural essential oils. Also, the box doesn’t even say what the ingredients are… very disappointed in Kerassential

**Q: Does this work with nail ridges?**
A: I had a large nail ridge in my pinky toe which was caused by a severe stubbing of my toe on a cement corner that I had for TEN years.  I had always assumed it was a permanent damaged nail and this item completely got rid of it.  I was quite surprised actually.  I can’t say whether it would help get rid of nail ridges if it’s caused by an underlying condition.  I do have very dry skin so it could have been a combination of damage and eczema. Whatever it was it’s gone and my pinky looks cute again!  Take a chance on this one seriously it’s worth a try. Leave it somewhere you won’t forget to use it, like next to the toilet or by your bedside table so you will remember to use it morning and night!

**Q: Does this help repair damaged fingernails  resulting from hypothyroidism?**
A: I’m not sure but it has greatly improved the appearance of my toenail that was badly damaged and thick. It’s worth a try in my opinion.

A: I can not confirm that it works better. You may contact the manufacturer for any information about the product's efficacy.

I have nail psoriasis, not nail fungus and I bought this to help exfoliate and thin my toenails. After a week, I haven’t seen much difference in the physical appearance of my toenails, but they are much less brittle. It was much easier to trim them. That said, I don’t think I’ll buy more when the bottle runs out. I’ll apply a weak lactic acid or a salicylic acid serum on my nails instead because it’s cheaper. I noticed it beads off the nail instead of absorbing if I tried to put it on too soon after a shower because my nails are still saturated with water and if I didn’t wash my feet with soap before putting it on before bed because lotion from the day is enough of a barrier. Since it is an exfoliant, you have to be mindful about how much you put on (it says thin layer!), particularly at the start to check for lactic acid and urea sensitivities. If you apply it all over the place or on broken skin thinking it’s antifungal, you could be in for a rude surprise with a lot of skin irritation. Especially if you’re already doing a lot of exfoliation on your feet with pumice, glass files, or peeling foot masks.
