Update! 11 Months later DEAD!! Will not charge. *by R***. on Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2019* Update: bike was ridden lightly for the 2019 season as I rode my Valkyrie for trips. when put away and stored in an attached garage with a good battery tender over the winter it was dead when tried April 3rd 2020. It will not hold or even accept a charge after 11 months. Highly disappointing at this price point. My previous cheap Chinese flooded batteries lasted two years. In the garbage and buying an American made Deka AGM ETZ14S rectangular battery on the advice of the Honda Shadow Forum, they claim 6 years of reliable use! (Fit tight however I used silicone dielectric grease on the rubber pads and it slid right in without removing them (wouldn't go in without this clear electrical grease). This is the best battery I have had for this bike, no more trickle charging all the time or jump starts on the road. This thing is awesome, I can even leave my running lights on my light bar on all the time now even when starting and it doesn't seam to drain the battery at all like it used to. This is with 5 months of intermittent use (I have a Valkyrie for long trips) and even after sitting for a couple of weeks the battery is still fully charged and ready to go. I had no problems with the Allen wrench connectors either. This battery is a no brainier for these bikes. P.S. I used black electrical tape to cover the yellow exposed bottom portion of the battery. UN-noticeable now. ### ⭐ Lasted a year and a half *by J***C on Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2019* This battery was installed in my 1998 Honda Shadow, which is stored in my garage year-round. The bike had a Battery Tender trickle charger on it at all times when I wasn't riding it. Yesterday I went to start the motorcycle and got dead battery buzz from the starter. Checked and battery voltage was 11V. Thought maybe my Battery Tender was bad, so I put the battery on another charger. No dice. Got less life from this than the $75 battery from Batteries Plus. ### ⭐ Junk, don't buy it. *by V***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2018* 98 VT1100C Shadow Spirit, 50K mi. OMG! 2 1/2 days before failure?! This was supposed to be an upgrade bought specifically so the I WOULDN'T be left stranded. The stock battery has trouble starting my bike under 40 degrees, so I was hoping that this would be better given the higher CCA rating. I wasn't expecting 6 years out of it like some reviewers, I replace my bat every 1 to 2 yrs, depending, just so I don't have issues, but I do demand that a battery last AT LEAST a year and that it starts my bike in the cold. This is epic failure, I will NEVER buy another MOTOBATT product since you left me stranded on the side of the road for 2hrs in the blazing 90+ degree burning sun.At least Amazon was awesome dealing with the problem, and I'll have a replacement in 2 days. Let's see how that works out. If it lasts a year, MAYBE I'll give it TWO stars b/c it isn't a complete POS, but you'll never get 3, b/c that would be an average satisfactory experience, and that ship has sailed.UPDATE:This is a class A CF. Last time they left the battery on the porch. The new battery was supposed to arrive today, and so I'm here waiting. 7PM and I'm wondering where it is, so I check tracking and it says that they tried to deliver it at 5:46 but "couldn't gain access to the front door, porch or driveway." That's BS, straight up, NOT TO MENTION that I was home at the time. Now I have to "contact the carrier". Screw you motocrap, screw you amazon, never ever ever ever again. NEGATIVE 10 STARS.
