It fits just a tad too small but thats because I usually wear a 3x regular. This 2x big I can button just fine but I do not see more than a t shirt and an under shirt going under it. A hoodie will look fine but I probably wouldn't button the vest. I also ordered the 3x big and it looks sloppy on me. I'm 5' 10" and right at 300 with a pretty big gut. So I honestly would recommend getting one size down from your normal shirt size but make sure you get it in the "big" selection. Like me I wear a 3x t shirt and the 2x big is almost perfect. So to you that may have a big gut but not huge like mine, going down one size but buying it in the big selection would fit you perfect. I hope that makes sense. The cut around the arms and shoulders is nice and tailored/vintage fitting/looking. I like the look of the buttons. The silver stars are cool. The buttons look small to me in the photo but they are standard denim vest/jacket size. The vest sits right under my belt line. Which is perfect. The material is heavy denim that should hold up for a long time. I have a ton of patches that are going to be sewn on this to make a battle vest. I have been super choosy in my search for the best vest/jean jacket for this project. Tried 3 jackets and 2 vests. This is the one I'm going to use. The only thing I can gripe about and why i took a star off is because the left hand pocket was sewn almost shut. I fixed it by removing the stitching that had it closed off. It i no way affected the rest of the stitching I made sure of that. For the price this is a nice vest. Big guy friendly. Looks like a standard biker metal head punker vest. I will try to remember to post some pictures when the battle vest is complete. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For me, a perfect fit. *by W***K on October 6, 2019* I wanted a blue jean vest. I usually buy Levi's products, but all their vests were of the totally washed out variety. So I bought this. The closure at the shoulders does not have the frayed threads of most of the denim vests offered, so this vest doesn't look like the sleeves (that it never had!) were ripped off. This vest looks rather like a fly fisherman's vest (albeit with fewer pockets), and it will probably get that use by some buyers. All of the pockets are functional, and it has two generous interior pockets, made of the same, lighter colored "interior denim" as the rest of the interior. All in all, it's good enough to wear as "smart casual" attire, like on a cruise. ### ⭐⭐ Size chart is WAY off! *by O***R on May 26, 2019* The vest looks like it's very well made, which is the reason I ordered it. BUT,... THEY AREN'T KIDDING WHEN THEY SAY "BIG & TALL". I followed their size chart carefully. I could have easily fit another half of myself in the vest!
