There are a tonne of structural diagrammes to show exactly how the components weave together, insight on how to keep transitions between different kinds of beads as fluid and cohesive as possible, different treatments and usages for the newest shaped and multi-holed beads, and a wealth of knowledge on how to best combine all of this knowledge into simple-yet-stunning projects. I did not expect to learn as much as I did from this book, and cannot believe the ease with which I acquired so many new technical skills. Thank you so much, Mz, Stone, for the invaluable contribution you've made to my beading library! I will be buying several more of these to give as gifts to my other beady friends. I don't usually buy beading books because I find them repetitive and boring, but Beth Stone's book is full of cool ideas and techniques, not just patterns. All I want to do now is bead all day. Don't get me wrong, though; there are fun projects in here. I love the pictures and the diagrams are easy to follow. She gives lots of ideas that are great for using up those small collections of beads you have lying around. Admit it. You have lots of beads. That's why you're looking at this book. II hope that I don't have to wait so long for the next one 😄 (I jumped right in and designed something gorgeous using the "tri-stitch" and was so proud of myself. As I was writing the directions for a class, I tweaked the design and realized that I no longer had the tri-state, but some form of bizarro flat spiral? Or maybe an "fuller" (quatro) tri-stitch-yeah, that's what it was! Either way, it's gorgeous, I took care of most of the fire line showing issues and it's pure *BLING!* Yeah, baby 😄 Very happy me and amazingly happy class! (they are never happy! - - kudos to us!) Next stop: the inside out Daisy chain. Wish me luck.
