## Description

Daifuku is a Japanese confection consisting of a small round mochi (glutinous rice cake) stuffed with sweet filling, most commonly anko, sweetened red bean paste made from azuki beans. Daifuku comes in many varieties. The most common is white, pale green or pale pink colored mochi filled with anko. These come in two sizes, one approximately the diameter of a half-dollar coin, the other palm-sized. Some versions contain whole pieces of fruit, mixtures of fruit and anko or crushed melon paste. Nearly all daifuku are covered in a fine layer of corn or taro starch to keep them from sticking to each other, or to the fingers. Some are covered with confectioner's sugar or cocoa.

Sugar content is not that much to worry as it is not a very extremely high sugar content so just right for the amount per each Rice cake to have or eat still. I would not say of this product food item would be very crunchiness but more like a soft chewy rice cake melon flavor but no crunchiness at all. Highly recommended if you like Rice cake Japanese deserts like this! :)

A: No dairy, no gluten, but it does contain gelatin which is made from animals.

A: It's emphasis on the 'dai' (pronounced like die), very short 'fu' and very short 'ku'. DAIfuku. The 'u' is pronounced like the 'oo' in 'shook', not long like in 'pool'.

**Q: What are the ounces for these melon daifuku mochi?**
A: Well the package says 7.05 oz (200g), so divided by eight that's roughly 0.88 oz per mochi.

**Q: do these need to be refrigerated?**
A: They technically don't need to as far as keeping them fresh goes, but refrigerating them keeps them nice and firm (and on a personal note I find refrigerated ones more refreshing to eat than room temperature).

These Japanese Fruits Rice Cakes are very freshness and the size is good for the value of the money you spend for getting these Japan Fruits in this package still. Sugar content is not that much to worry as it is not a very extremely high sugar content so just right for the amount per each Rice cake to have or eat still.
