    I really like this flavor. I had recently read an article to use this spice in Chai tea or spiced coffee to give it the “sweetness” we sometimes crave without the calories.When I made my homemade chai tea, it was missing a flavor, I looked at some of the store brands and found out it was star anise.Thankfully I did not add as much sugar as the recipe called for, because when I added the ground anise to my chai tea, it truly did taste sweeter.

    Great spice for cookies.  It is just like my grandmother made cookies during Christmas when I was much younger and full of hope and dreams.  Now I am jaded by big corporations, but at least I can eat delicious cookies.
